Vos Gym Rotterdam was co-founded and inspired by Vos Gym Amsterdam in the early months of 2001. After the gym was officially opened and running Vos Gym Rotterdam remained partner for a year. In July 2002 Vos Gym Rotterdam pursued its own course for independence and the partnership ended.
Our fighters have competed on international level in Germany to prepare and test them prior to competing in Holland.
For the past 7 years we have been working with the respectable German Muay Thai Bund Deutschland (MTBD) and several members of our fighting team have made their debut on a German MTBD/IKBF Muay Thai Kickboxing event. |
The MTBD is an excellent and friendly organization led by the charismatic chairman Detlef Turnau. The German atmosphere during events is friendly and fair and has proven to be beneficial for our inexperienced and talented fighters.
The MTBD is a professional and open minded organization and offers fights in all relevant disciplines such as Amateur Muay Thai (elbows allowed and with protective equipment), Kickboxing and K-1. Next to that the MTBD upholds the Thai tradition. Each fighter is therefore required to perform the Wai Kru ceremony before a fight.
Due to the MTBD, their promoters and Detlef Turnau personally we were able to offer our fighters the opportunity to gain experience and prepare them for competition fighting in Holland.
We hope to reap the fruits of this well-considered approach in the next years to come. |
